Mother's Day

I always feel a little spoiled on Mother's Day weekend.  My Anniversary is always quite close, so sometimes it feels like it's just a lot of celebration crammed into a couple of days.  Not that I mind, because it's nice to be pampered and given extra loves.  Natalee came home with a booklet from school all about me and the things that I like.  My favorite part of the booklet is where she drew a picture of Me and Nathan with her i the NICU. She also drew a lovely picture of us on a roller coaster.  She's a good artist and a funny girl!
She has eyes the color of a crispy green apple and a smile like the moon.  When she daydreams, she thinks about me, my dad and our dog, Dolly.
Her favorite food is a salad, but she doesn't like leftover food.  My mom likes me because I am sweet.
I think she hopes that when I grow up I will be a vet.
I like to hug her because she's the BEST!
She doesn't like monsters, so I tell her not to worry because they are not real.
My favorite things to do with my mom are cook, read, play and bake.
The thing she likes best to do for relaxation and enjoyment is lay on the couch. Of the things she values, I think she likes her family best.
If she had a lot of money, or if a magic genie appeared and offered to grant her one wish, I think she'd want a trip to Penilanan. (either she made that up, or it's a really lazy attempt at spelling Disneyland) ADDENDUM: MarKey thinks that she was probably trying to spell Pennsylvania.  That would actually make more sense, since she usually spells Disneyland (still wrong) Dineyland or Diseyland.  Girl just can't get the N and the S in that word.  I still need to ask what she's really trying to say.
Mom helps our family by doing dishes, makes dinner and helps with lawndry. (yes, I just help with the laundry apparently)
She spends most of her time doing these things: Cleaning, cook, cleaning the house.  (I guess I clean quite a bit) I help her by cleaning and doing house work. For her, the secret of having a good day is to play with me.
My mother has many qualities that help her make and keep friends.  Her best friends are: Alissa, Terri and Tom (Tom is Alissa's husband, quite a strange choice, but whatever)
They like her because she is kind and sweet.

Then she wrote me a letter:
Dear Mother,
You are the BEST!  You are soooooooooooooooooooooo helpful, cute , funny, kind and loveable.  You are a swimming pro and a good sport.  I love, love, love, love, love, you!
Love, Natalee #10

I really am the luckiest lady alive, to have this little girl who made me a mother. She's the joy of my life and I love her to bits!!!
