Phew! Our summer flew by and once again it was time for school to start. I figured I'd better get this up since tomorrow starts the second week of school. We woke up bright and early and Natalee finally got to wear the shirt that she picked out about 6 weeks ago to wear on the first day. She was so ready to go! We lucked out again and got a wonderful teacher and she was excited to meet her too.
Here we are searching the halls for her room. Our school asks that the kids line up outside before school starts. After the bell rings the teacher comes out to collect them. Well, we parked the car and went to the spot where I thought the third graders lined up. Nothing. So we proceeded to walk around the perimeter of the school looking for the teacher's name on the sidewalk and still found nothing. Finally I decided to go in the school and go to the room. Her teacher's name was not amongst the 3rd grade rooms. GREAT! Where is this teacher, right? Well, the past few years she has taught 4th grade, and didn't move rooms for this year to teach 3rd, so her room was still in it's old spot. We finally figured it out and got her in the right place.
Anyway, week one was AWESOME. She only had one piece of homework, which happened to be an art project. I think I'm really going to like this teacher. She seems very on top of things and she sends home all their class work at the end of the week so that we can go over it and see where improvement could be made. I like having that extra connection because for the past 3 years we've not known anything about performance in the classroom until parent teacher conferences. Time will tell, but at the present we are super excited for 3rd Grade!!!

Answer to question on my blog: yes colitis is genetic. If you want symptoms I would look online because there are many.
