And Now 8

Guess what? We have an 8 year old. Shut up, right?

Good morning snowy birthday! It snowed today, just like on the day she was born, although nowhere near as heavily! We started the morning with breakfast at IHOP. Natalee brought a friend with her and they had a blast. They both ordered the Create a Face pancake, but had more fun creating and coloring than actually eating.

We went back to the house where she got to open some presents.

After a few hours of playing with her new things, we got dressed up and went to Temple Square. We got there early and had a lot of fun walking around and looking at the nativities in the light. There were so many brides and Nat thought it was so funny that they were getting married on her birthday.
We had this very funny lady take this photo for us. She acted like she was doing a professional photo shoot. It was quite hysterical.
Finally it was time for dinner. We had the most fantastic meal and Natalee loved every minute of it. They had a little tag on the table that said Happy Birthday, and the pianist played a birthday medley for her. It was so special and she felt like a princess.About 45 minutes into our meal they turned on the lights at Temple Square. We had a bird's eye view and it was so beautiful. After dinner Natalee had chocolate mousse for the first time and liked it so much she had two.

We finished out the night with a carriage ride around Temple Square. It was awesome! OUr driver's name was Natalie and our Nat got the biggest kick out of that. We had the best time on Natalee's special birthday. The next day Nat asked if we could ever go back to that restaurant again and I said that we could maybe go back for another special birthday and she said, "Like when I turn 9?" She's so cute!

Her day sounds wonderful. Can I pretend to be your daughter turning eight?
