My parents took us on a getaway to the middle of nowhere the week of Christmas. It was wonderful. We left on December 19th and came home on the 23rd. We stayed in a huge cabin that was so comfortable and quiet. Sadly, Sunny, Courtney and Hayden weren't able to come and we missed them a whole bunch.

Despite the fact that the weather outside was cold, rainy and foggy

inside all our days were filled with

The kids looked awesome in their new "Elf" pajamas

We saved Natalee's birthday cake so that we could share with everyone.

We made gingerbread houses
and took lots of naps (however some nappers were cuter than others.)

The kids got to play with Dallas (a favorite pasttime)

And had endless hours playing with Grandma.
We played some new games...

and enjoyed old ones too.

There was food....lots of food. Some was prepared by the kids, but the grown ups helped too. We had an awesome chili cookoff, which after the dust and spices had settled, was won by Jon.

We loved our Christmas Cabin. Thanks Mom and Dad!!!

That sounds so nice, I love family parties when they last a whole week.
