Oquirrh Mountain Temple Open House

Like all good Mormon Mommies I took my child to the Oquirrah Mountain Temple Open House. This time I drug Dallas along and I was very glad that I did.
The temple was beautiful and Natalee really liked it too. At one point Dallas and I stopped to look at a chandelier and I heard Natalee humming and singing to herself. When I stopped to really listen, she was singing "I Love to See the Temple." She's so cute.
When we went to get our cookies at the end I said, "Let's find a spot to sit," at which point Nat just plopped herself down in a random group of kids. I guess she thought that's where the kids were sitting.

We are very grateful that we've had the chance to show her what a temple looks like. I think it's made it a little more tangible for her. She's especially fascinated by the font. When we went into the Bride's Room I told her that if this is where she gets married, this is the room she'll get dressed in. She said, "Oh Mommy, I'm not getting married in THIS temple." I guess it's good to know that she's got a plan.
I love to see the Temple, I'll go inside someday.
I'll covenant with my Father, I'll promise to obey.
For the temple is a holy place where we are sealed together.
As a child of God I've learned this truth,
A Family is Forever!

That's so cute! I love it when kids sing primary songs outside of church :-)

And you didn't take Nathan because, I'm assuming, he wasn't welcome in the Temple? Did he ever get that issue cleared up? :-)

HAHAHAHAHA!
Well, he didn't come since we weren't very prepared. We let it go too long and there were no nighttime reservations. :(
