The Dolphin Song

Natalee is a little obsessed with dolphins since our recent visit to Sea World. She talks about them every day and loves to look at the pictures. She even talks about being a Sea World trainer when she grows up, so that she can see the dolphins whenever she wants. Tonight while in the bathtub she started singing a little song, one I'd never heard. When I listened close, I could tell it was a song about dolphins. She says that she heard it at Sea World, at the dolphin shows. She says they sang one verse (and yes, she called it a verse) at the first show and they sang the second verse at the night time show. Then she said that maybe they sang the second verse when she got to pet the dolphins, she just couldn't remember exactly. Since I heard no such song, I am almost 100% sure that she made the whole thing up, but who am I to argue? Anyway, this is the song she was singing, as I wrote it down while standing in the hall. Please feel free to be amazed at how some of it actually rhymes.
Dolphin, Dolphin you're so fine.
I'm so glad you are mine.
Dolphin, Dolphin you're so sweet.
You keep your babies safe all the time.
You feel like a hard boiled egg,
I love to touch you on the back.
You are a Dolphin, I saw you at Sea World
I'll come back again some day.
Sweet Dolphin, you are a good Dolphin.
See you soon!

She stopped between the part about keeping babies safe and the hard boiled egg to tell us that this was the second verse. Then at the end she giggled and said, "Well maybe I'll see you soon. Whenever Mommy and Daddy bring me back."
