Where Have I Been???

This is a question many have asked over the last several weeks. No, I didn't off myself when I ran out of oranges and no, I didn't run to a warmer climate to avoid freezing to death.
I am in fact here and have been here for the past couple of weeks just without internet at my house. We caught another virus (silly little computer really gets around, apparently) and Nathan had to shut it all down while he cleaned things up. So, I've not been posting, not that a whole lot's been going on, but I could have probably made up a thing or two in the time I've been gone. However, I had no access to pictures, and what is a blog post with no photos, I ask you? Boring! (There, I answered it too!)
Nathan, who is as handy as he is handsome, has managed to get the problem fixed, so I am (semi) back in business.
Anyway, since I have no pictures for you to look at, I thought I might offer another diversion. There is a blog out there that's hilarious and sure to make you laugh.
http://www.cakewrecks.blogspot.com/
I saw it on my friend Brittany's blog and I've been laughing myself silly for about 45 minutes. It's a blog dedicated to cakes that are bad, bad, bad. Here are a couple of my favorites to give you an idea. Remember, these are actual cakes made by professional bakers.

They range from cakes that are just plain ugly, ones that don't make sense, cakes that are in poor taste, misspelled names and misinterpreted messages. There are also occasional posts showing a photo of what people wanted and then what they ended up with. I can't imgine the heart failure some of these poor brides must have experienced. Anyway, they are all really funny, but this, however, is my personal favorite. Who could resist mohawked babies riding huge carrots?

So clear about an hour from your schedule, get yourself something to drink and check it out.

I am so glad you think that blog is as funny as I think it is! Did you see the one of the preggers girl in the tub? Awesome...

I wish you would escape to a warmer climate. It's currently about 80 degrees at my house.....just a suggestion.

And get control of your computer. It's all in the parenting you know.
