We took a really quick trip to Las Vegas in September to visit Brett and Kae's family. We left in the late afternoon on Friday and drove to Cedar City and spent the night. Then we got up really early and drove the rest of the way to Vegas. The first thing we did was go to Lowes for a little kiddie craft thing they do on Saturdays. They were making a little fire truck and they had the Fire Department there with a truck that the kids could climb all over. They had a blast. I'm also realizing that Natalee chose a red shirt to wear, the tablecloth is red, the toy is red and the actual fire truck is red. There's a little bit of a red overload here.

This is my favorite photo from the day. Somehow Becca put the bottom of her truck on upside down and Brett was trying to take it apart for her so she could fix it. Well, it was stuck pretty good because Nathan had to take over on the task and when he couldn't do it either, they made it a group effort. Yes, this is two grown men, struggling to take the bottom off a child's craft. Those were some heavy duty nails.

After the fire truck fun, we went back to Brett and Kae's for lunch and playtime. Kae also made Skookies and they were wonderful. We made about 100 balloon animals and just had fun talking and playing.

In the afternoon we snuck the family over to our hotel to swim. It was so fun and we had the pool all to ourselves. We got some pizza and ate it outside on the patio. It was a great way to end the day.

The next morning we got up and went back over to play for a little while before heading home. We were so glad that we got to visit, but were sad it had to be so short. We're hoping for a longer visit sometime soon!
