Our girl decided to be Dorothy from The Wizard of Oz this year. Dorothy costumes are expensive, so I decided to attempt to make it. I got the fabric for $2.50 and the shoes for $3.00. We borrowed the basket and you know Natalee had several stuffed dogs to choose from for her Toto. I thought it turned out pretty good.
We had our neighborhood Halloween Carnival a few weeks before Halloween. I was so happy that MarKey and Sunny were able to bring their kids up for it. Don't they look so cute? This year school was out on Halloween, which meant we could go in to Salt Lake to Dad's work to their party. They had soup and let the kids trick or treat at all the offices. It was pretty fun.
Here's all the Reese's love she got from Dad's co-workers.

We went to the ward Trunk or Treat and came home and had pizza. Then we went to a few houses for real Trick or Treating.
Look what we found at the Ward Trunk or Treat? A twin Dorothy! They even had matching baskets and red shoes.

Here's all the loot! I have to laugh because even as I type this, I'd guess that we still have more than 3/4 what she got that night, but it's fun. She usually eats one piece a day for about 2 weeks and then forgets about it.

She looked so cute! There is seriously nothing better than a cute Dorothy costume, even if there are others with the same one :) I might have to do it next year for Jayne. We'll see who else does it with me because you know there will be at least one :)
One piece a day?!! Wow, that's some good self-discipline. My kids were allowed around 3-4 pieces a day, but we did put their loot up high and they had to ask for it. When I was a kid, my parents just let us go for it. I think I ate the whole darn bag in a matter of a couple days. Felt fantastic.
The Dorothy costume is totally cute!
