The Tuesday before school got out Natalee's class had a field trip to the zoo and I was happy that I was able to go with her. I was supposed to have three little girls in my group, but as more moms and dads decided that they wanted to go, my group dwindled to just Nat and one other little girl. It was fun to have her along because she'd never been to a zoo before. The Hogle Zoo has this new exhibit with fake dinosaurs in it. They are close to the size that they would have been when they were alive, so that is kind of cool to see.
We were told at the beginning of the day not to spend any money on the children so that there wouldn't be any fairness issues. I'd told the girls that there wouldn't be a carousel ride or a train ride. However, just as we were passing by the carousel this guy asked if we wanted his extra tickets that he wasn't going to use. So they got a carousel ride after all and I didn't even have to break the rules. It was a very fun zoo day.
