In March we made our bi-annual visit to the eye doctor and he told us something that we knew we'd one day hear -"She needs glasses." *sigh*
At the beginning of Natalee's topsy-turvy struggle to live, she had to have eye surgery. As a result we were told that she'd be in glasses "soon", which they estimated would be six months to one year away. Well, almost eight years past that conversation, we finally got a prescription for glasses.
So I conned MarKey into coming with me to help pick them out, which began the best day of Bennett's life. Who knew that trying on dozens of pairs of glasses was the best thing on the planet? Bennett called them "Glax-las" which was so cute we laughed every time. We went to lots of stores, trying to find the right pair at the best price. Everyone got to try some on, even Libby.
By the way, isn't she so cute? I have to remind myself quite often that chewing her cheeks off would be wrong.
