Carolina Invasion

We came home from California to all kinds of Harrison Family Fun. Greg and Cindy had come to visit and the next several days were filled with little cousin get togethers.
On the first night we met at Roger and Julie's for dinner. I, being just home from vacation and not so smart to begin with, left my camera at home. There was a nice shot of all of us, and I could probably steal it from Kae, but I'm not into stealing.
On Sunday we met at Temple Square. It was fun to see the new Salt Lake Temple display and let the kids play on the grounds.

We met at a park for pizza and play. The older kids loved playing tetherball and the younger ones loved playing in the sand.

We went to This is the Place Heritage Park for some pioneer fun. The kids loved the petting zoo, riding ponies, panning for gold, watching a blacksmith, looking at old homes, shopping at the gift shop and imprinting leather. They did not like almost dehydrating, walking and being told to get out of the water.
We had a nice picnic and at the end of the day Julie brought us some cookies, which were divine!

One night we met for dinner at a BBQ place. I thought it was a minor mistake taking North Carolinans for Utah BBQ, but they seemed to like it. In my opinion, it's the best BBQ in Utah (if you don't count my dad's).

We went frog catching. We ended up having to go at night, but there were still lots of frogs waiting to jump on our poles. Problem is, I'm no Jim Tadje and I don't think we had the right equipment. The frogs were jumping but they wouldn't take the hooks. Maybe we need a better frog catching tutorial. Anyway, we managed to catch two, but the kids had a really good time nonetheless.
This week has been a little boring, not being on vacation and not having fun things to go and do, but taking a breath every now and then is probably a good thing.

You can "steal" any of my pictures. I know I have copied some of yours. The frog fishing looked fun to bad you didn't catch more. The frogs might need to be younger, but I really don't know. I'll let my Dad know about his "good luck." It was fun to see your pictures of everything.
