Bennett - Day 2/3

The past two days the kids have woken up before 6:00 am. That's OK because Dora and The Backyardigans are able to entertain them just fine.
We took Natalee to school this morning and Bennett didn't have a breakdown like he did yesterday. That was nice. We ran a couple of errands and had lunch at Chick-fil-a. He didn't want to eat the chicken, but he did have some fries. He would dip one in the ketchup, take two bites and put it back in the container. It's a good thing I like him and am not germaphobic because I'd hate for Chick-fil-a fries to go to waste on my watch.
After lunch I brought him home to take his nap. He didn't realize that was the plan and instead of napping took to ransacking the room that he was sleeping in. It's my fault. I don't have a good 2 year old room to put him in. There's way too many actual things for him to play with in Natalee's room, and in my room he'd just have more space to run. Consequently, he's in the storage room. There are lots of boxes in there, which I didn't think he'd be able to get into, but found out that he actually can.
Case in point:
Bennett had been really quiet for about 15 minutes. I was certain he'd fallen asleep. I was wrong. When I opened the door he looked at me and said, "Help" and as I approached the bed he was wanting help getting the candy open that he'd found. I had a tote in the room full of activities we took to Alabama. Apparently there was also a bag of treats. As you can see, the crib looks kind of like Halloween night.
As a reward, I took Bennett to Wal-Mart to run another errand and got him some ice cream. After every bite he'd say, "Oh yummy stuff."
After Nat got home we went on a small excursion to the park. They had a lot of fun playing and feeding the ducks.

Bennett would take the piece of bread, break it in half and throw both pieces over the fence. He'd say, "Come 'ere ducks!" but then when they'd come close he'd scream and run away. It's a good thing they were separated by the fence.
Here are some examples of his excellent bread tearing skills.

My gosh, he's adorable. It's too bad we have to give him back in a couple of days. Maybe it's not too late to make that unscheduled trip to Canada.
I decided not to chance seeing what else he might find hidden in the room, so I took him for a ride to put him to sleep. A few minutes into the ride he said, "Ni-night....wuv ooooo."
Like I said, adorable.

He is so stinkin cute. I'm jealous that you got him all to yourself.
