Thanksgiving

Holy cow, am I behind or what???
We spent Thanksgiving in Arizona this year with Sunny and Sharon. As you can see, the big meal was eaten outside. Quite different than here. It was all so yummy and we were grateful to be able to go. We had a fun three days playing with Hayden, enjoying some sunshine, shopping Black Friday and relaxing.

We went to see the lights at the Mesa Temple with Mike and Tara's family and Darrell. It's so fun to see pretty lights and not be freezing your butt off. They had a room in the Visitor's Center with a bunch of Nativity Scenes from around the world. My favorite was the Amish one. Holy cow, it was so cute I wanted to put it in my pocket. However, being that I was at the Temple, I refrained.

The Wishbone
A few weeks ago we were in the car and Natalee said to me, "Mom, there is really this thing inside the turkey, and I don't know where it is, but it's called the wishbone. And you find it in the turkey after you eat it and then you get a friend or somebody else and you try to break it. And when you break it, there are two sides, and the person with the biggest side is the winner and the prize is a wish." We were kind of excited to let her have a crack at the wishbone, but it was hard to wait while it dried out. The night before we left, she and Hayden broke it. Natalee ended up with the biggest piece and wished for (don't gasp with surprise) a Dolphin Webkinz.

I am so glad Nathan was able to join you for Thanksgiving. Since I have seen the lights at the Mesa Temple and was not cold, I don't think I can go to Temple Square anymore in December for their lights. It has ruined me. I hope you ate lots of oranges while you where there.
