Festabull of Trees

Last year when we made our annual visit to the Festival of Trees, Natalee was saying it "Guestabull". It's been a year and we've fixed one of those letters. That doggone "V" is giving us a lot of trouble....but I digress. As always, there were so many beautiful things to see and so many wonderful things to smell. There was even a choir that I'm sure their parents thought were wonderful to hear. Natalee thought this was "so beautiful." She wanted several pictures. Nathan and I thought it was slightly creepy. Your vote?
This was Natalee's favorite tree. Actually not so much the tree, but the decorations around the tree. It was something about woodland creatures and most of those little animals on the ground are Webkinz. There were also lots of Webkinz on the tree. She was just going nuts. I'm sure she thought they wouldn't mind if we took just one.....
This was my favorite display. It was called "Totally Tacky Christmas". That mailbox says "Griswold" on the side and they had just about every decoration imagineable that people like to stick in their yards. It was missing the giant inflateable snowglobe carousel, but we don't split hairs. It it Christmas after all.
Natalee had a lot of fun in the kid's area. She got an elf wand and made a pom-pom creature. We actually got kicked out of the Pom Pom Creature area for excessive use of pom-poms. No lie. If any of you go today, pleas know that there is a limit to the amount of pom-poms your child can use in their creation. Apparently that number is around 33. Just sayin'.

This was the most interesting non traditional tree. It was made out of rocks, wood and candles. I thought my Dad would like it. Natalee said, "That looks like grandpa's house" and indeed it does.

This was the strangest "tree". They made it out of PVC pipe and paintbrushes. It had some very nice original artwork and some prints that went with it, but it was pretty unique.
Cowboys and John Deere were very popular this year. Natalee wanted a picture of almost every dog we saw. We are so happy that we were able to go this year since it's one of our most favorite family traditions.

Very Creepy and not at all Christmas related..... People get grouchy around the holidays when you mess with their pom, poms.
P.s. I called you, did you ever get my message?

Freaky Mermaid? Choir that only the parents could love? Excessive pom-pom use? Sounds like the perfect Christmas event! Thanks for the laugh, as always.
