For many, many years my family has enjoyed going to the Timpanogos Storytelling Festival. They are having their 20 year anniversary the Friday and Saturday of Labor Day Weekend and I must say I'm terribly excited. First of all, we've missed, or mostly missed the last 6 years because Natalee wasn't old enough to sit and enjoy it. However, I've decided that she is old enough this year and WE ARE GOING!!! They've invited some of our most favorites back and we just can't miss it.
Bill Harley - This man is a 6 year old in a grown up body. He's hysterical. He writes songs about being a kid and tells stories about childhood. We love him. I'M WOOINED!
John McCutcheon - A folk singer who's really a better singer than storyteller, but since it's folk music it's all a story anyway. I have several of his CDs and I love them, oh how I love them. He plays the hammered dulcimer, which I find terribly facinating.
Donald Davis - He lives in Outer Banks, NC and when we were there in February I had to strongly resist the urge to stalk him. Once at a Storytelling Festival he told us if we were in OBX to look him up (well, not me personally, but everyone in the audience). Certainly he meant it, right? It's not stalking if you're invited, right?

This basically leaves me wishing that it could just hurry up and be September 3rd!!! I would strongly encourage anyone to go and take their families. It's really wonderful.
