Seriously....

You people without dogs have NO idea the fun you are missing out on. Here, let me clue you in on what's happened. And just to be clear, it's before 11:00.
Does this dog look like a huge pain in the butt?
I'm sorry to say that she kind of is. Now I readily admit that it's my fault, but still. I feed her, give her water, play ball with her, give her baths....come to think of it, that last one is probably why she hates me. It trumps all the nice thing I do for her.
Anyway, she was not a great dog before we had Natalee, but she's gotten progressively worse since we did. Like I said, it is my fault since I stopped working with her, but I don't expect this level of naughty, no siree!
About 90 minutes ago, I heard the noises that I hear quite frequently telling me that Dolly was chewing something up. I found her on my bed and this was in her mouth:

This is what's left of a brand new chapstick. There used to be a blue label on it and a cap. I can't find either of those things now. So, I took it away from her and put it in the garbage. The garbage that I keep on my nightstand. (It's a can, a small one.....don't think I just have piles of garbage sitting in my bedroom.) About 20 minutes later, I hear more chewing sounds. She'd managed to get it out of my can again. Apparently it's delicious! So, I moved it to the garbage can in the bathroom, knowing that despite her many talents for finding things, she's still yet to learn how to open a door.

Then about 20 minutes ago, I hear more chewing noises. I found Dolly on the bed with this in her mouth:

This is a tube of lipstick with a crack in the cap. Now I know your first thought is, "Holy crap! Shilo owns LIPSTICK?" Focus here people, that's not what's important. The important thing is that I didn't even know where this was and she found it!!! Luckily I saved it before any major damage was done.

Just before I posted this, I made my bed and found additional treasures. A dryer sheet, a piece of dental floss and a cup that had cough medicine in it. Treasures, I tell you! I don't know what to do with her. I've only got 2 days of food left for her and maybe I'll rethink buying any more. That'll show her....eat my lip products and starve to death!

Now, could my irritation be heightened due to the fact that I was in the ER with Natalee at 1:00 am because she's got an ear infection? Perhaps.....oh perhaps.

First of all, I hope Natalee gets better soon. Bryn had lots of ear infections as a smaller child and they were awful! Tell her we say hello.

Second, get rid of the dog!! Sorry to be so blunt, but I'm not a dog person. Anything that poops on the lawn and eats things I don't want destroyed has no place in my house. So in short, don't buy anymore dog food :-)

Keep the dog get rid of the lipstick! I have learned that even though I don't have a dog, I can't have lipstick with 2 small girls....moral of the story....Lipstick is evil!
I am sorry to hear that Natalie has an ear infection. The good news is the antibiotics usually work pretty fast.
