I hate the snow! HATE IT! HATE IT!Every year about this time I start to wonder why we live here. I dread the day the snow falls. I hate the squishy, muddy ground. I hate the puddle filled parking lots. Anyway, imagine my surprise when I woke up this morning (IT'S OCTOBER AFTER ALL!) to about 2 inches of the stuff on my lawn. Also, the weather guy was calling this a "Winter Storm Warning" which perplexed me since it's fall and will continue to be fall for 2 months. Just call it a Storm Warning, save us the confusion.
Anyway, my child is a true winter baby and LOVES
the snow. She's been asking when it's going to snow since June. She was elated today when she woke up. She came running into my room shouting, "IT'S SNOWING OUT MY WINDOW!" Then she went over to my window and said, "Mommy, it's snowing out your window too!" She begged to be able to make a snowman before we left for church, but since we have 9:00 am church, that was quite impossible. So after church we went out (without gloves because I haven't got the first clue where to find them) and built a snow bunny. It's such wet snow, which is perfect for packing, but horrible for shaping. We also couldn't get anything to stick other than eyes. The thing with the leaf to the left of the bunny is a "trophy she won". I'm not sure what snow bunny didn't to deserve a trophy, but she's got one! Some of you will recognize the green box from last year on the first day it snowed. It was the presentation place for the little snow family she insisted on making. As I found last year, having a child makes this horrid season bearable. She gets so excited, which makes me excited too. It's good that we're headed to Arizona this weekend so I can thaw out and hopefully we've still got a few good weeks of fall weather before it really hits us. I need a few weeks to figure out what Ive done with the gloves anyway.

I REALLY don't like the snow either! I think it is wonderful when it is in the mountains, and you can see it from the valley. But I think it should stay there! I especially don't like the snow when kids ask you to come play in it with them! Ugh! That is why I think we have father's- they are much better at playing in the snow!
Snow belongs on Christmas Morning, the mountians and in songs by Bing Crosby. :)
You might need your gloves here......it got freaking cold overnight!! It was 105 one day and 73 the next. (Okay, maybe not gloves but bring a jacket for sure.)
Oh, and why is Nat wearing a pioneer dress?
It's not a pioneer dress! It's a dress I wore when I was her age. Does it look bad? She gets cold so easily and I've had the hardest time finding a long sleeved dress. If I put her in a sweater, it becomes a toy and she just takes it on and off the whole day.
We will bring a jacket, but for the days I am there it's supposed to be 93, 95, 95, 92. :)
You're so judgemental about my child's clothes as of late.
Ya, don't cry too hard for Shilo. She will be in Arizona by the end of the week!
Snow ROCKS!! I'm with Natalee, snow is exciting!
And the snow is why I live in ARIZONA!!!!!
Okay, I spoke to soon. On the radio they said it would be 97 on Thursday. Bring shorts!! I would bring a jacket cause you never know. And I'm sorry that I think you dress your child stupid....that's just how I feel. The dress looks weird.
