Mom's Joke

It's widely known that my mother is incapable of telling a joke correctly. She always, and I do mean ALWAYS, screws up the punchline. Tonight we were celebrating Dallas's birthday and she favored us with this gem. This is written as she said it.
"Why can't goblins have babies?"
"Why?"
"Because of their teeny weenies."
Then she proceeds to laugh, really hard and we sit there kind of laughing to be nice, but we don't get it and we can't believe she's said this in front of her grandkids. Then she says:
"WAIT! Wait, no. I told it wrong. Why can't goblins have babies?"
Now we are all laughing and can't respond.
"Because they have Hallo-weenies. Yeah, that's is Halloweens. Wait, no, hallo-weenies. Yes, I said it right. That's what it is...."
Now we're all laughing, not because the joke is all that funny (it's not and really doesn't make sense if you think about it) but only because this is what she does. She can't ever get it right. All too often the messed up punchline is so much funnier than the actual joke. Keep em coming mom!

Oh mother........when will she ever learn? Most of her jokes aren't funny, so it's good she messes them up and makes them funny. I wish I could have been there.
