Always Read the Directions

I was finishing up the handout this morning that I’m doing for primary on Sunday and all I needed to add was the scripture. The one that’s listed in the sharing time is Moroni 10:17-18 which is:
"And all these gifts come by the spirit of Christ; and they come unto every man severally and according as he will. And I would exhort you my beloved bretheren, that ye remember that every good thing cometh of Christ.”
However, for some reason I saw Mosiah instead of Moroni and looked up the same scripture, wrong book, and got this:
“And thus the have taught their children that they should hate them, and that they should murder them, and that they should rob and plunder them, and do all they could to destroy them; therefore they have eternal hatred towards the children of Nephi.”
I think I got to the murder part when I thought, hey, maybe I am reading the wrong scripture. This has nothing to do with talents that are given to us by God. It made a lot more sense when I looked it up in Moroni. I think this shows the importance of always reading. Can you imagine if I’d had them read the Mosiah one in Primary? Now that is the basis for an interesting Sharing Time!

I think you should have left it the wrong way...just to make it interesting, and to catch those kids not listening! Hey I am going to add you to my blog list if that is okay?

That's one way to get released.
