10 Year Second Chance

Sorry for the triple post. I honestly didn't realize what the date was until about 10 minutes ago.

Ten years ago, August 16, 1998, was the day I nearly died.
It was on this day that I had a tubal pregnancy rupture, causing me to bleed internally for more than two hours. It was scary to think of how close it was to being over, and looking back I know I was very blessed.

I'm so grateful for many things and I'd like to say thanks to:

* Nathan for literally saving my life
* The ER staff at McKay Dee for working on me quickly once they figured out the problem
* Dr. Byron Nesbitt for operating on me so expertly
* Gerald for coming to sit with Nathan during my surgery
* The Doctors and Nurses who were with me in HOBS
* My mom for coming and staying at the hospital when Nathan couldn't be there and for doing everything else that needed to be done that no one was doing
* My siblings for being without a mom while I was sick
* Kim for being the worlds greatest visiting teacher
Looking back on the last 10 years it seems unbelieveable that it even happened. Sometimes I wonder what I'm doing with the second chance and I hope that I'm doing what I should.

Yeah, that was pretty scary. I thank Nathan too for saving you life.....and the doctors, I guess they had something to do with it.

I'm glad you made it through that! I would've been there too, if I hadn't already moved back to CA. :) What a blessing to have such a supportive family!
