Rocky Shores at The Hogle Zoo

The Hogle Zoo finally finished it's new addition, Rocky Shores, this spring.  We were able to go to the zoo and see it, and all the other fun zoo things, on June 15th.  We scored some free tickets, so we invited MarKey, Bennett and Libby to come with us.  We had a really fun day and the new exhibit is amazing!

I am always so amused at the positions the gorillas can be found in.  It's like what every middle
aged man wishes he could get away with.

In addition to having the new area, there is a new eatery.  It's got the same name (The Beastro) but there are lots of new, fancy items on the menu.  It was delicious!

This has become my new favorite photo ever.  I wish you could see Bennett's face.  He's hysterical.
This polar bear would jump off a rock, swim to the window and pop up right in the kid's faces.  She did this over and over and over again and delighted everyone.

Terri was able to come up after work to spend a little time with us. It was so fun and we loved showing her around Rocky Shores.  The polar bear was still in performance mode and the seals were playing and having so much fun.
 See you next time!!!
