It was with much sadness that we sent Bennett home on Saturday. His parents like him almost as much as we do, so we know they'll take good care of him. He was such a delightful little houseguest. Some things about Bennett:
- Bennett is a pro at playing pretend.
- Bennett can turn into Buzz Lightyear at any time.
- Bennett likes to play whatever he saw the Backyardigans just play. He gets really frustrated if you don't know what he's doing so you can play along.
- Bennett can turn most things into a guitar and anything into a gun.
- Bennett DOES NOT like Ramen noodles, and he won't try them, even if you bribe him with M&M's. He will however, still eat the M&M's.
- Bennett like to have "ju-winks" (drinks) in the car and will have a meltdown if you didn't bring one.
- Bennett is a master escape artist.
- Bennett can be contained at any moment by "Woody-Buzz" (Toy Story) or "Oh Toodles" (The Mickey Mouse Clubhouse)
- Bennett can talk, cough, sneeze, cry, eat, and yawn and manage to keep his binkie in at the same time. That's talent.
Bennett had the best time with this sign. As you can see, he was pretending it to be a number of things. Pictured are two: a guitar and a surf board. He would also make it a gun, by shooting it at you, and it became a skateboard if he could get it to push on the floor. He also used it as a shield from the dog. One day he found a PVC pipe in the yard (that was about 8 feet long) that he turned into a long gun that he would "shoot" my dog with.
He was "keered" of my dog.

We were glad to have Sophie's birthday party on Saturday to get our minds off losing Bennett. She's such a cutie and we can't believe she's 1 already. The kids had a blast on the splash pad and I had a blast eating cupcakes.
Who could resist this face? She's totally adorable!

I have to laugh about the Backyardigans thing. Ryan was the same way. And he would memorize every show, so if I didn't quote the exact lines for whatever character he had me playing, wrath would ensue.
