Here she is all ready to go. She picked out this shirt to wear (full picture below) over a week ago. When she picked it out she said, "I want my teacher to know that I love pandas right away!"
She wanted her picture on the porch to show her
My Little Pony backpack.
Last year she REALLY wanted a MLP backpack, but the only one we could find was one that had this weird synthetic mane hanging off the pony. I looked at it and all I could see was a tangled mass, with mud and leaves stuck to it. I vetoed that choice and we ended up with Tinkerbell. So this year when we went backpack shopping, she was excited to find this one that didn't have any hair.
This is her all lined up at the school. She decided to eat school lunch today because it's Macaroni and Cheese. I hope she likes it!!! The teacher came to get them and she told me she loved me as she walked away. She's so excited and I know she's going to have a great year!!!

For as proud of you as I was for not crying, you would think that I wouldn't have cried reading about her first day...........but I did.
I hope the 1st day was a success. We had smiles on faces when school was out.
That made me laugh. Especially the Panda shirt. I swear that's something I would have said as a kid. I was really into grown-ups I loved knowing things about me "right away". Oh, that's so funny!
She rocks at quotes.
Happy 1st grade, Natalee!
