Also, we've got what experts might refer to as a little bit of an ant problem. We find a mass like this at least once a week. They are always outside, thankfully, but we can't figure out how to get them to just move to someone else's house.
On the 11th we had a birthday party for Dad at Golden Corral. They had delicious steak, as always. Natalee insisted that the employees sing to him and we're not sure that he really appreciated that, but was a good sport nonetheless.I collected ideas from my siblings and we made dad a poster of 60 things that we love about him. I don't know if you can get the full effect, but this is what it was like. I thought it turned out very cute.
Now on to the "cute stuff Natalee has said" portion of the entry:
The other day we were driving in the car and she said, "Mom, I've finally decided what to be for Halloween." (I know this is a huge problem, we've only got 5 months to go). What, I asked? She says, "A Goat." "How are you going to be a goat," I asked. Her reply: "Well, we are just going to get some fabric, and sew it until it looks like a goat. Then I should probably get some ears or something."Well, I am glad that's settled. I can sleep now.
The other morning Natalee saw a tube of itch cream in the bathroom. She asked, "This is itch cream, for what, itches?"
"Yep," I said. She said, "What does it do?" I said, "You can rub it on if you have an itch and it makes it go away."
She said, "Oh, like an itch on your bum."
I was laughing too hard to reply, but yes, I'm sure it's very useful for that.

Happy B-day to your pops...may have to steal that poster idea for my parents. I'm surprised you didn't know that making a goat costume was as easy as getting some fabric and sewing until it looks like a goat. Easy as pie Shilo. Thanks for your comment, I laughed right out loud! Give Aunt Mable a hug for me.
A goat, that is just awesome. Natalee has the cutest personality.
I love that she worries about Halloween as much as my girls do. I think we have changed costumes 3 times since January...we've got time girls...
As far as the ants...if they are outside pour gas on them. They will die...sad, yet neccessary. If they are inside...cornmeal. The ants can't digest it so they die and it isn't dangerous for kids or pets.
I for one, am still depressed about missing out on that steak.
We have this ant killer that is all foamy. They look they they are being swallowed up in the foam and Natalee things it's so cool. I didn't hear about the cornmeal. I might have to try that if they venture in. Since we got our new back door 2 years ago, they don't seem to be able to get inside. I don't know why, but ants really like it at my house and always have.
And everyone should be sad when they miss delicious Golden Corral steak. EVERYONE!!!
