A Surprise for Grandma Dean

Grandma Dean is coming on Saturday and it's about all that we can talk about around here. This morning Natalee was walking up and down the stairs while I was doing the dishes. She came in and said, "Don't go upstairs, I am really making a surprise for Grandma Dean."
I was a little nervous. When she's making a "surprise" it usually means she's making a huge mess. She had me laughing hysterically though because she kept making comments about how hard she was working. At one point she said, "Why is it me that always does all the work?"

I got brave and ventured upstairs when she said she was finished. She opened her bedroom door and said "TA-DA" and this is what I found.
Yes, this is a pile of books. It's about 1/3 the total amount she owns.
She took them all off, in order to make room for the surprise, which is:

These are most of her Littlest Pet Shop pets. They are crammed on the top shelf of her bookshelf. She's got most of their little accessories and food there too, so that if they get hungry waiting for Grandma Dean, they'll have something to eat. Also, notice the two pandas on the left. They got married yesterday and she held a wedding ceremony for them.
I guess there wasn't enough room for them on the shelf because here are a mouse and a chinchilla on the next shelf. The chinchilla is lucky enough to have marshmallows to eat while she waits.

Then I turned around and saw this under the nightstand:

These are the Winnie the Pooh party animals. They are seperate because "they are having a party."
But the fun doesn't stop there, oh no! By the door there are 4 more pets and a cup.I asked her why they were alone and she said, "Oh, just because they want to be."
Lastly, so no one feels left out, she also included her Little People animals making a trail to the door. There's also a nail polish there right at the end. I need to go move that immediatly!

I feel so blessed and lucky to be able to spend my days with such a beautiful, funny, imaginative, creative and thoughtful girl!

Natalee has the best imagination. I love how she puts all her toys in just the right place. Grandma Dean will love it.

I hope that Grandma doesn't look at your blog before Saturday. The surprise will be ruined!!

No temple wedding for the pandas? Come on, Shilo; you could have build a little temple and painted it white and then put a little gold Moroni on top. That's what a GOOD mother would have done :-)

Sadly, I OWN a little ceramic temple that I could have brought out for the occasion. *sigh*
I'll never be as good a mother as you, so why even bother? :)
And Sunny....like Gma D would even know how to access the blog if she wanted to! HA!
