Movie Review: Mamma Mia

LOVED IT!!!
Terri gave me a girls night out to see this movie for my birthday. I am happy to say I was able to redeem it before it had been 2 months past my birthday. I have to say, the whole movie I was thinking how uncomfortable Nathan would have been had he been with me and how he wouldn't have "gotten" it and how he would have hated it. So I was glad to be there with Terri. As one of the actresses said in the film, "Hey, this is a hen party...no men allowed." The people in the theater must have subscribed to that same theory. There were about 50 women and two men who I am sure thought sitting through this movie was their ticket to getting lucky later. So don't take your husband to see it unless he loves ABBA songs, sequins, chick flicks, feather boas, and men dancing around with no shirts on....and if he likes those things, you may have a bigger problem on your hands.
It was very funny, full of catchy songs and tons of unexpected twists. I highly recomend this to all the girls out there. I've changed my playlist for the moment too. I'm going to have ABBA running though my head for the next several days, so I thought I'd let you all come along!

I loved this movie too! I saw it with a friend on a BNO (Babes Night Out) and then took my sisters to see it when I was in Utah. LOVE IT! Already told Dave I want it for Christmas. Did you totally cry when she was helping her daughter get ready for her wedding? I was baling(spelling?) like a baby!

I can't wait to pop this in the DVD player and dance around the house!

Yes, the getting ready for the wedding was definantly the bawl moment of the movie, especially if you've got a daughter.
My favorite (laughing)part was when the men were dancing on the dock to "Lay all Your Love on Me."

I too loved this movie. Jay wouldn't go see it with me, so I took my mother in law and sister in law. Did you go to the one that is a sing along?

Nope, no sing along...just boring old Layton Cinemark. However, I've heard about the sing along, where people come in their costumes and stuff. Sounds like it would make Nathan even more uncomfortable.

I've not seen it....probably will avoid the sing along option.

I so would love to go to the sing along. Who can resist not singing.

Truth be told, I was wanting to break out in song nearly the whole time. I fear for anyone sitting around me if I were actually in a theater where that sort of thing was encouraged.
